Busy Bee Me!

Goodness it's been a while since my last post! So much seems to be happening at once... There have been custom orders galore heading out the door, our Mac died after 6 years of faithful service (I'm writing this post from our brand new shiny iMac - it's VERY swish!), new OOAK buntings listed in the etsy shop HERE and I have been making a conscious choice every day to leave my iPhone and computer to the side as I spend quality time with my growing kids. Milla starts 'big school' next year so this time with her and her little brother, Harris, is precious and I don't want to miss one bit. So as you can see there is LOTS going on in life with our young family and Giggleberry Creations keeping me on my toes.... and speaking of toes I have officially started my 18 week training program to prepare for my first ever Half Marathon in September this year.
With snazzy new shoes (these babies glow in the dark!!) I have been running further and further and trying to pick up speed on most mornings of the week before the family have rolled out of bed. It's tough to get going in the cold morning (I am sooooo not a morning person) but once I get moving I feel fantastic and love that I get the 'me time' to start the day in such a way. The Half Marathon isn't until the 16th of September and it will be tough but I can't wait! I will be doing it for Running The Marathon of Autism to raise money along the way for my step daughter Felicity and her Son-Rise Program for her autism... would you like to know more? would you like to sponsor me? check out our website HERE for all the details on Felicity and her journey so far. On that note I will leave you once again - I will be sure to pop in to keep you up to date as things happen but until then I will be playing with my babies, running further and sewing up a storm. xx

A cheeky quest for votes *wink, wink*

Louisa from The Little Big Company is currently running a competition through the Little Big Company blog.

Entrants send in a photo of anything Creative for Christmas - ornaments, dessert tables, decorations etc etc. There are a bunch of fun ideas coming in that can be seen on the blog HERE and yesterday it hit me that I could join in.... I sent in a before and after photo of the plastic ball pits ball 'baubles' on our row of trees along our driveway (see HERE). Louisa has now added it to the entrants and it's voting time - this is where my quest for votes comes in - The Creative Christmas photo with the most votes wins a $100 gift voucher to spend at The Little Big Company's online store (Oh how I could do that in 30 seconds!!)

Soooooooo, do you have a spare moment and feel like popping over to the blog post HERE pretty please? All you need to do is leave a comment saying you vote for the Giggleberry Creations row of trees pic (or something similar) - easy!

The competition ends Dec 15th and I have my fingers and toes crossed :)

Happy Friday Find - BUNTING SWAP!!

A special and awesome Happy Friday Find this week that all of you can be involved in - A Bunting Swap! (Thanks so much to BabyGalah for pointing this out to me)

Hooay for all things bunting and by the sounds of THIS post from Squiggly Rainbow she loves the stuff as much as I do!
The general gist of this super fun & original swap is to start by letting Squiggly Rainbow know you want to be involved and also tell her how many single flags (or 'bunts' as she calls them) you would like to swap. Then once she has your postal details she'll do all the organising to be sure you get the same amount of flags back - cool hey?!? I'm so in and think this is will be a blast!!

You don't have to be a bunting maker to be a part of it just a bunting lover :)

Happy Friday xx

Royal Wedding Buzz

I don't think I've come across one person who didn't watch the Royal Wedding last Friday! It was oh so lovely!! During the day I had pulled out my wedding album for Milla to look at. She asked me about my 'beautiful dress' so I pulled it out of my cupboard to show her. Of course she thought it was amazing but the dress that really caught her eye was the flower girl dress from our wedding that I also have tucked away in my cupboard.
Milla begged me to let her put it on and on it stayed for the. rest. of. the. day!

Teamed with a veil she happens to have in her dress up box Milla watched Princess Kate walk down the aisle to her Prince.

In Royal Wedding Buzz mode I took inspiration from the British flag for my latest The Handmade Hullabaloo post - check it out HERE and let me know which Union Jack item is your fav.

Customer Feedback Photos - sort of...

I LOVE the world wide web. Sure there can be 'dodgyness' out there but you can be smart about it and miss 99% of that and just use the amazing tool that is the www!
One example of this is what i found in my email last night... no it wasn't one of those 'you have just be awarded 230,000... all we need are your bank details and will transfer it right over' blah, blah, blah it was my daily emails from Google Alerts. I have programmed into Google Alerts a few key words like Giggleberry and others and get a daily email if these keywords pop up fresh on the www that day - such as being tagged in a blog. This is exactly what happened, I was 'alerted' to the word Giggleberry being tagged on Style Me pretty: bridal inspirations.
So of course I went to check it out to find this

not only is it a fun and gorgeous photo of one very happy couple at their Colorado wedding but on closer inspection you can spot some Giggleberry bunting behind the bride which she bought from me just a few short months ago.

How cool is that!?!
So thanks so much Style Me Pretty for the tag and a HUGE thanks to good old Google Alerts!
Be sure to click HERE for all kinds of other stunning photos from this beautiful wedding!

Going (Mini) Gaga over bunting

Giggleberry has been spotted on Mini Gaga blog as part of the latest Party Feature - Bunting Theme!

Of course I am biased towards this theme - too fun!! But truly having bunting as your theme allows for so much flexibility. It works for either boy or girl or both if you have a combined birthday - perfect! It also works for absolutely any age. You can choose the colours and then just go with it for your decorations, cake, favors, even a craft activity for the guests. Easy!

Click HERE to check out the bunting ideas.

Envelope is on the way...

How can you say no to joining in this fun little project? The Envelope Project - I couldn't!!

the envelope project

My decorated envelope (I actually got out the kids good old Crayola crayons for this one) is all sealed up with some little goodies inside and stamped ready to go in the post and head to Pip.

Have no idea what I am on about?? Check out the blog post with all the in's and out's HERE but the basic idea is... A bunch of people are sending a decorated envelope to Meet Me At Mike's in Victoria with some small trinkets inside... Pip will then collect up all the goodies from inside the envelopes and hang all the envelopes in the Meet Me At Mike's shop window... after the six weeks One VERY lucky envelope will be chosen from the bunch and that person will receive ALL the fabulous little things that were sent to Pip - Yay!

Just check out the things you could possibly receive if your envelope is the chosen one

Too fun!!

6th Street Design School

After a busy and fun filled long weekend here in Oz I have two very tired kiddies who have gone down for their nap a little earlier than normal today. So I am taking this perfect opportunity to catch up on my emails & Etsy 'convos'.
Lots of emails I can do the quick skim past and delete but others need more attention... one such email was from Kristen of 6th Street Design School blog.

Kristen sent me a quick email telling me Giggleberry was a part of her 'Etsy Bunting Roundup'

All these bunting finds are so cute and I even have one or two of them!! You can check out each item and a link to it on Kristen's blog HERE.

Make your own bunting decorated birthday cake!

Remember my post (HERE) from just the other day about Birthdays with Bunting? In the post was a great idea for a bunting decorated birthday cake I found over at Little.Lovely. blog. Such a simple yet such an effective way to decorate a cake for your next party, no matter what the theme!
So to make it even easier for us guess what has just popped up onto Little.Lovely. blog.... How to instructions! So you can make your very own - How to make bunting for a child's birthday cake! Yay!

All you need is:
- Ribbon
- Two sheets of patterned paper in coordinating colours
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Double sided tape

Then just by following the super simple steps and photos found HERE you're cake will be looking very festive indeed!

I adore this idea! With a quick stop into the scrapbooking papers section of your local craft shop just imagine the different colours, patterns and themes you could do it for... Red, yellow & blue papers for a circus party, pink floral papers for a girly tea party, bright green patterned papers for a monster party, pink and purple sparkly paper for a fairy party.... I could go on and on!

I had a quick play with some pink and mint coloured papers I had lying around and cut smaller triangles attached to a shorter ribbon to use on cupcakes - cute hey?

Giggleberry has been 'spotted' (mind the pun)

After a lovely and fun long weekend away for the Australia Day holiday weekend I have returned home to an absolute mass of emails. As I worked my way through them one by one I was rather excited to see that the Giggleberry bunting banner 'Strawberries & Cream' has be recently included in two separate features.
The first was in the Junior Style section of the Style Collective site.

The feature is titled Inspirational Mondays.... Disco Dots! and is a fun group of red and white polka dot items. Check out the feature HERE

The other spotty feature I had been told about was over at the sweet Sambellina blog HERE. You simply must pop over to this blog post to see the cute polka dot finds including an adorable red with white polka dots tea set!
