Bunting Swap - flags all made and sent!

Remember I told you I was joining in on Sqiggly Rainbow's Bunting Swap in this post HERE? Well over the weekend I got my 10 'bunts' or single flags sewn up and sent off to my 10 different swap 'buddies'.

The rules of the Bunting Swap state that you had to use up scraps that you already had but the flags did not have to go by the typical triangular shape and can be made from any materials other than paper. So with that in mid I raided my fabric cupboard and pulled out some scraps then dug through some fun & colourful ric rac I had left over from another project and got sewing!

What do you think? a fun mix of 'bunts' I reckon :)

Some are the same fabric on both sides, some are different, some have ric rac on two edges some only one side but I think all of them are pretty Giggleberry fun :)
Now I just have to sit back and wait for Mr Postman to bring me my 10 'bunts'... I'll be sure to share!!

Happy Friday Find - BUNTING SWAP!!

A special and awesome Happy Friday Find this week that all of you can be involved in - A Bunting Swap! (Thanks so much to BabyGalah for pointing this out to me)

Hooay for all things bunting and by the sounds of THIS post from Squiggly Rainbow she loves the stuff as much as I do!
The general gist of this super fun & original swap is to start by letting Squiggly Rainbow know you want to be involved and also tell her how many single flags (or 'bunts' as she calls them) you would like to swap. Then once she has your postal details she'll do all the organising to be sure you get the same amount of flags back - cool hey?!? I'm so in and think this is will be a blast!!

You don't have to be a bunting maker to be a part of it just a bunting lover :)

Happy Friday xx

Envelope is on the way...

How can you say no to joining in this fun little project? The Envelope Project - I couldn't!!

the envelope project

My decorated envelope (I actually got out the kids good old Crayola crayons for this one) is all sealed up with some little goodies inside and stamped ready to go in the post and head to Pip.

Have no idea what I am on about?? Check out the blog post with all the in's and out's HERE but the basic idea is... A bunch of people are sending a decorated envelope to Meet Me At Mike's in Victoria with some small trinkets inside... Pip will then collect up all the goodies from inside the envelopes and hang all the envelopes in the Meet Me At Mike's shop window... after the six weeks One VERY lucky envelope will be chosen from the bunch and that person will receive ALL the fabulous little things that were sent to Pip - Yay!

Just check out the things you could possibly receive if your envelope is the chosen one

Too fun!!

It's Tuesday and I can't wait.....

I just can't wait for the parcel I have just put together and posted off via snail mail to arrive at the recipients door! I'm talking about the Swapapalooza craft swap parcel... being my very first craft swap I was rather excited to put all the bits and pieces together.

I've been hunting down inspiration and suggestions and one particular comment that stuck out was this one from Kathleen of Heavenly Handmades who said "I would want to be spoilt" she also said "Personally, if you were sending me a swap I would be secretly hoping for some bunting that was tea party themed! I would also really like craft goodies and maybe a chocolate bar too." Thanks Kathleen.... I loved these ideas and decided I would do it around a particular theme... Cherries!
Here is a pic of what I ended up putting together:

There is
A roll of red satin ribbon
A roll of white grosgrain ribbon with cherries printed on it
A selection of red buttons
A selection of green buttons
A piece of red chenille fabric
A set of 'Cherrilicious' fabric backed gift tags (from Tagged By Giggleberry)
A set of red and white bunting (from Giggleberry Creations)
and as Kathleen suggested, a chocolate bar... a Cherry ripe of course.

I don't want to say who the parcel is off to just yet in case I ruin the surprise but a little hint won't hurt right? The recipient has recently posted on her blog that she has an up and coming market stall... so maybe the red and white bunting set could help her stall stand out from the others??

I'll be sure to share pics of what arrives for me as soon as it comes.

What would you want to arrive in the post?

I posted a few days ago that I have signed up for my first craft swap - THE MEGA CRAFT AND MIX CD SWAPAPALOOZA THE SEQUEL, through the Georgie Love blog. Now that the entry date has closed I have received my 'swap partners' details ready to send off some goodies so this is where I'd love some help and/or inspiration....

What would you love to have arrive via snail mail? crafty goodies? something already made? both? neither? I'd love my partner to be so very excited by what she receives. So with a little help from you all surely I could put something fun together.
