Fundraiser Update..... 58 sleeps to go!

Okay so for those who don't know my family together with two other families are planning a Masquerade dinner fundraiser - Behind The Mask Of Autism - for our children Felicity (my daughter), Blake and Hannah who all have severe Autism. (See THIS past post for more info)
I thought it was a great time for an update.... I have literally just got off the phone from having a conference call team meeting with the other mums to see where we are up to and what needs to happen next. we have been having 'meetings' every two weeks and slowly are crossing things off our To Do lists. It's so much fun seeing it all come together and I've said this before but the night is turning out to be bigger and better than we could of ever hoped for!!!

Where we are up to:
* Date and Venue booked (22nd November at Mona Vale Golf Club)
* Invitations sent out
* Web site built
* Media contacted with children's stories and event details
* Donation requests sent
* Book live band

What's next:
* Send out tickets to guests
* Make decorations
* Make up take home goodie bag/info packs for guests
* Complete visual presentation for night

We have also booked and confirmed our auctioneer for the evening who even moved his own birthday celebrations to help us for the night (thank you Ashley). He is going to be a busy man with all the amazing items up for auction on the night!! We have been overwhelmed with the amount of donations so far... with many more coming - THANK YOU!!
We have such a great range of items from 2 tickets to Sting's 1 show only performance at The Sydney Opera House, vouchers for a day of trapeze and circus training, vintage wine, sporting event tickets, jewelry, family photo shoots, week long accommodation at Port Douglas... the list goes on and on
A special mention must go out to these wonderful Etsy sellers who's gorgeous items they have donated and are safely stored in my home waiting for the big night - J G Edge Wear, Valeries Gallery, Little Bird Creations, Holy Craft, Vanilla Pixie, Macaroni and Glue, The Sewing Chic, The Tye Dye Girl.
Please contact me at giggleberry@bigpond.com or leave a comment with your contact details if you would also like to donate.

The countdown continues.....
I'll keep you posted with what happens next - until then take a look at our family run website at www.intellectualdisability.org for the kids stories, event details and the amazing program we are doing this all for.
