Weekly Featured Artist - Bella of Francisbel Boutique

I met Bella through my the FAM (Fabulous Artistic Moms) team and think her work is simply gorgeous (my favorite items are her 'Ruffle socks'). Bella was so kind to be this weeks featured artist - Thank you! Pop into her shop at www.francisbel.etsy.com and take a look at her great range of things.

Tell us all about yourself and your craft?
My name is Bella, I have been married for 15 years and have a 14 year old son. My craft is all about creating tote bags, little girls dresses, burp cloths, pillowcase dresses, hair accessories, ruffle ribbon socks and more. I'm always creating and adding new categories to my selling list.

How long have you been creating your craft?
I have been doing crafts for about 15 years...And selling them for about 10 years.

What is one of the biggest lesson you have learnt about your craft & selling it?
The biggest lesson I have learnt is everything has to be make with a lot of patience and with plenty of time, nothing has to be made in the hurry, and for selling is never do a custom order without be pay BEFORE...

Which of your items did you have the most fun creating & why?
I love all the sewing part, I enjoy sewing all day long It is my big passion!

Is there a basic household item you use when creating that seems to work just as good if not better than the actual 'tool'?
Yes, I use clothes pins for holding the ribbon in place when I make my headbands.

What is your favourite candy bar & why?
I love Baby Ruth's

If money, responsibilities, and time were no issues where in the great wide world would you go & why?
I would like to go to the Great Wall of China, it would be great be in that place.

Open for Business

I want my Lolli....shop!!

No more waiting, Lollishops is up and running!!
LolliShops - 'The frou frou friendly market place' is a juried website, selecting vendors that value quality craftsmanship and customer service and Giggleberry Creations is lucky to be a part of it!

What does "froufrou" mean anyways?
The definition of froufrou has something to do with the way LolliShops uses the word. Froufrou means, "Fussy or showy dress or ornamentation". LolliShops is a place where froufrou reigns supreme! Unlike most handmade marketplaces that have a modern, young, trendy preference -- LolliShops embraces the traditional, timeless, sweet influences of Cottage Style, Victoriana and the whimsies of a Candy Shoppe. Our vendors and shoppers enjoy polka dots, pink, glitter, ruffles, crepe paper, scrapbooks, ephemera, fabric, candy stripes, luxury, rose gardens, tea time, bubble bathes, babies, whimsy, gingerbread, hair bows, lace, pretty-pretties, fuss, sea shells, sparkle, notions, nostalgia and more...

This shop is my second shop so it's a very exciting and nervous time while I learn my way around Lollishops.... I have started to list just a few 'frou frou friendly' items and will watch how they go.
The founder of Lollishops - Sadie Lou says "Excuse the glitter on the floor as our experienced vendors move into their brand new boutiques. Even though we are all excited about finally being able to set up shop, you don’t need to feel like you have to linger in doorways…come on in! Mingle, Explore, Shop!"
Come visit Giggleberry Creations new Lollishop - I'd love to know what you think....

Weekly Featured Artist - Julie of Tweet Tweet Boutique & Smoochers Closet

Every time I think my life could be more busy or full I meet someone who is more busy or has their plate fuller than mine... Thank you to Julie for finding the time between her two shops, her teaching job and her family to let us in on her life a little.

Tell us all about yourself and your craft?
My name is Julie Schultz. I am a mother of two boys, Will 3, and Connor 1 ½ years. I am married to Ryan, 7 years! I am a high school teacher and owner of Tweet Tweet Boutique and my recent shop Smooches Closet. I create special practical and keepsake personalized items and gifts for children.

How long have you been creating your craft?
I have been working at my craft for about 2 years. I stayed home for 3 years and began creating hair bows. About 6 months later I started sewing and I haven’t stopped since!

What is one of the biggest lesson you have learnt about your craft & selling it?
Keep it Simple and Do What You Love. Work on one thing at a time, master it, love doing it! I live by if I am not having fun that it is not for me….. and sometimes it needs to be done not perfect. I try to allow my creativity to be the focal point, and the feeling I get from finishing something that I love to do is priceless!

Which of your items did you have the most fun creating & why?
I love ribbon so my personalized ribbon purses from Smoochers Closet and my personalized ribbon key chains from Tweet Tweet Boutique are two of my favorite items to make.

Is there a basic 'household' item you use when creating that seems to work just as good if not better than the actual 'tool'?
I pretty much use whatever I need to use to get the job done-practicality wins over recommended most of the time.

What is your favourite candy bar & why?
I love tootsie rolls and twizzlers! Always have-always will!

If money, responsibilities, and time were no issues where in the great wide world would you go & why?
I would travel with my boys to see all of the Major League Ballparks and their cities. We are huge Chicago Cub Fans and seeing the Nation watching our favorite sport sure would be a treat!

Julie has many, many gorgeous items in both her stores and with Christmas less than a month away you'll be sure to find something for someone on your Christmas list....
