Soccer Party Pics
What a fun day! The weather was perfect and the birthday boy had a blast! I had so much fun putting this all together and had lots of giggles with family as they spotted little details all day.
The kids LOVED the blow up soccer field and Harris has been kicking his balls around in it ever since Mr Giggleberry finished blowing it up (He nearly passed out but it was worth it hehehe)
Happy birthday little man. We LOVE you lots & lots and can't believe it's been 2yrs since you made a screaming entrance into this world!!

Soccer Party - Decorations
Looking good so far for weather predictions for this weekends Soccer Party for my little guys 2nd birthday - Yay! I've spent the past few days getting the decorations together and with glue stick & scissors in hand I have been having a ball (mind the soccer pun).
For our front door to greet guests/soccer fans is a little flag banner I threw together with the birthday boy's name and age. Attach a little bit of soccer ribbon and TaDah:
A few of these balloons, I got on ebay, around the place will put us in party mood
And I just LOVE these party printables from Cake Ink. for the food labels and thank you tags
I had a brain wave hit while sitting on the couch the other night thinking about all things soccer. I wanted something to go above the food table to serve as a 'backdrop' and needed it to be biggish but not too crazy busy and still a bit of fun..... A Scoreboard!!!
A quick trip to the news-agent for some cardboard & dot stickers then an hour playing around while sitting infront of the TV and I'm almost done. I have a few ideas for some finishing touches but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with it. I love that it's personalised - TIME: is Harris' time of birth and the score under HOME: is his age!
all this plus the bunting I made a little while ago and our house should look like a pretty good Harris fan club!!

Happy Friday Find
Another Friday has rolled around - what are your plans for the weekend?
I plan to tick off a few jobs on my to do list including a few custom orders that I just *need* to go to my fav fabric shop for... wink, wink.
I think this rather cool Bunting Flag Messenger Bag from eesome would be the perfect thing for my fabric shopping sprees. I would have my hands free to gab all the gorgeous fabrics then would have a great non-plastic bag to carry them home while also looking rather fabulous.
Happy Friday xx

Soccer Party - Food & Drink.
1 & 1/2 wks till my little man's soccer party so I'm getting my head around what we'll all be eating. The 'normal' thing we do is a good old BBQ so I thought I might do something a little different this time - still simple, but with a bit of a fun twist!
All the food we'll serve will be given new names that I plan to write on these awesome 'Menu Cards' custom made by Cake Ink. To match the invite & theme.
On the menu (so far):
Meatballs - Meaty Soccer Balls
Chicken Wings - Left & Right Wingers
Chipolatas - Star Striker Sausages
Tomato sauce - Red Card Sauce
Mustard - Yellow Card Sauce
I'll also have a few little treats:
Cake Pops (still tossing up if I take on the challenge of making the soccer ball cake pops from my new Bakerella's Cake Pop book or not), popcorn served in THESE cups, Soccer ball foil wrapped chocolates from Sweet As and a few other goodies - oh and of course the cake!!
For kids drinks I have little bottles of water (even found ones with a green lid to match the green, black & white colour theme!!) but to make them even more awesome I bought these super fun Referee Shirt Drink Holders from Polka Dot Market - seriously, how cool are they?!? And the best part is they will double as party favors! Perfect!!
I spotted these plates, cups & serviettes from Spotlight ages ago that I couldn't walk past them. I also couldn't resist one of THESE 'grass look' plastic table covers.
I have been floating blog land for inspiration & ideas on how to pull this all together and hope it looks even half as fab as one of these soccer parties I found:

Valentine's gift for Mr Giggleberry
I couldn't tell you yesterday what I had bought hubby for Valentine's Day because I didn't know if he would happen to read my blog before he got home from work to find his present - what a way to spoil the surprise hey? So I thought I'd share it with you today... it must still be Valentines Day somewhere in the world, right?
Now we don't usually exchange gifts but I do like to do something small to celebrate valentine's day as I'm such a romantic softy.
So first of all you need to know my man is a LOVER of skiing and the snow so when I spotted these gorgeous and fun pillow slips from Boldloft I just couldn't resist!! I have loved all the adorable goodies for boldloft for ages and thought this was the perfect excuse to buy something.
I then hung some I (heart) U bunting I had made on our bed head for a bit of extra mushiness ;)
When hubby came home from work - I said nothing about it and just waited for him to go into our room for whatever reason... it gave him a bit if a giggle and I think I might leave our room like that for a few more days.

Soccer Party Planning
Yep, another party!! hehehehe!
This time it's for my little man, Harrison. Harris turns 2 in a few weeks time and is a lover of all things balls - if you can kick it, throw it, whack it, catch it - Harris wants to play with it... So a soccer party was a pretty obvious answer for this years birthday celebrations.
After a little google searching I had an inspiration board thrown together in green, black and white so I sent an email off to Samone from Cake Ink to help me with invites. I LOVE what she came up with and especially love the wording 'Kick Off' for party date & time 'Ground' for address and 'RSVP to Referee Amy' - cute!! (I've edited out the personal details like phone numbers)
I'll let you in on little details of the party planning as the party date gets closer but thought I'd start with the obvious - the bunting!

Custom Order with a cherry on top
The lovely Janelle from Cake Ink. contacted me a little while ago to ask if I could make some bunting to match the Cake Ink. logo. that could then be hung in Janelle's new cake room/work space in her new house. Of course I said yes.
So with the instructions... "create a banner inspired by our Cake Ink. logo - using those colours, textures, patterns, etc.! I'll leave the design totally up to you!" I jumped in.
I had lots of fun putting this banner together and am rather pleased with the result - what do you think?
That cherry is just too fun!
