Princess Dress-Up Aprons!

Just 3 nights ago I had a wave of creativity hit me while sitting at the sewing machine and before I knew it I had a Snow White Dress-Up Apron made for Milla's dress-up box.
I thought it was so cute that I sat right back down and made another... this time Rapunzel
I called it a night and went to bed but my creativity was re-sparked when Milla's saw her new 'dresses' in the morning. She LOVED them and couldn't decide which one to wear first. So with a bit more of a dig through my fabric stash to see what I could rustle up I then made Sleeping Beauty
The Little Mermaid (she was my fav as a little girl)
Belle
And Cinderella (use you imagination for this one it was the only pale blue fabric I had in my cupboard)
I shared these as I went on my Instagram and with family and had such a great response that I have decided to make and sell them for a VERY limited time only.

They are so easy to pull on and off for kids with no full outfit change!!!
The perfect handmade Christmas gift? or a cute Halloween costume? email me now at giggleberrycreations@gmail.com to place your order now.... maybe I haven't got your fav princess made yet? email me and I can see what I can come up with :)

Handmade Angry Birds Game!

We had my side of the family Christmas get together on the weekend. We do a 'Secret Santa' gift system for Christmas with the adults in my family - each person has one adult to buy for with a $ limit so each adult gets one decent gift. This year when I saw THIS I couldn't help but make a set myself to put under the Christmas tree for a little extra gift for my mum!!
Mum is a bit of an Angry Birds fan. She doesn't own an iPhone or and iPad but she will find a quiet moment and steal my dad's iPhone or my iPad when we are together and have bit of a play trying to knock all those green pigs from their perches.

With 6 empty tin cans, some paint, a Sharpie and a plastic red ball I made mum an Angry Birds game for her to play any day of the week. I wrapped it all up in a huge box and attached a card that said "Santa couldn't afford an iPad and he know you would only use it for one thing anyway, so Merry Christmas...." - teehee!!

So simple and it got quite a few giggles!!

Ice Cream Sundae Kit Gift - DIY

Need a cute hostess gift? How about a gift for a teenager (seriously how tricky can those ones be!) or maybe a house warming present or even a 'just because' gift?
This idea has all of those covered - An Ice Cream Sundae Kit!!

I saw THIS one from Family Bites on Pinterest and knew I would be using it!

With a selection of sprinkles, some chocolate sauce (homemade or store bought), cones, tissue paper, small glass jar, ribbon and a gift box you're ready to put you kit together... these are just the items I choose to put in the box but you could include any sundae toppings you wish!

I re-packaged the sprinkles into resealable cello bags and the chocolate sauce into the glass jar then added a scrap of fabric and a ribbon to the lid of the jar. To make these extra cute you can make up some labels for everything (my printer is not playing at the moment so I went without labels).

Then all you have to do is arrange your selection of goodies into a tissue paper lined gift box.

This box of goodies is for a couple so I added a set of 'My Ice Cream, Your Ice Cream' spoons I bought from Beach House Living to the box and was ready to pop the lid on then tie a final ribbon around the whole thing.

Include a little card to let the recipient know they just need to add their favourite ice cream and you've got yourself one truly cute little gift that I know I would love to receive!!

Valentine's gift for Mr Giggleberry

I couldn't tell you yesterday what I had bought hubby for Valentine's Day because I didn't know if he would happen to read my blog before he got home from work to find his present - what a way to spoil the surprise hey? So I thought I'd share it with you today... it must still be Valentines Day somewhere in the world, right?
Now we don't usually exchange gifts but I do like to do something small to celebrate valentine's day as I'm such a romantic softy.

So first of all you need to know my man is a LOVER of skiing and the snow so when I spotted these gorgeous and fun pillow slips from Boldloft I just couldn't resist!! I have loved all the adorable goodies for boldloft for ages and thought this was the perfect excuse to buy something.
I then hung some I (heart) U bunting I had made on our bed head for a bit of extra mushiness ;)

When hubby came home from work - I said nothing about it and just waited for him to go into our room for whatever reason... it gave him a bit if a giggle and I think I might leave our room like that for a few more days.

Christmas Shopping? May I suggest....

This is the second post in my 'mini series' of 'Christmas Shopping? May I suggest...' gift shopping suggestions. I have been busily buying gifts all year and when I tell people that many respond with "Wow - I haven't even started mine" so here are some of my purchases (that I am totally in love with and can't wait for the person they are intended for to rip open on Christmas day) - maybe some inspiration for you??

After my parents showed up on the weekend with Milla's kitchen I couldn't believe my luck, only a few months ago I had bought some absolutely gorgeous felt foods from the very, very talented Samantha of Sam McLean Designs, and now these adorable play foods have the perfect home!!
I LOVE the idea of play food for kids and as soon as I saw Sam's items I just had to get my hands on some. So after browsing through her Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Fruit & Veg and even Treats selections I decided on these:

Ice cream cone with 3 flavors

Toddlers who lunch - play set

and this custom ordered Roast Dinner. I think this one is my favorite for the simple reason that even the drumsticks Velcro on and off - How cool is that?!?
Sam's attention to detail is amazing! All the foods look just like the real thing and spark up all kinds of imaginary games to play with my kids! Pop into Sam's shop HERE soon to grab some yummy goodies - I'm sure she would be only too happy to find you the perfect 'menu'. Happy shopping!
