It's Tuesday and I can't wait.....

I just can't wait for the parcel I have just put together and posted off via snail mail to arrive at the recipients door! I'm talking about the Swapapalooza craft swap parcel... being my very first craft swap I was rather excited to put all the bits and pieces together.


I've been hunting down inspiration and suggestions and one particular comment that stuck out was this one from Kathleen of Heavenly Handmades who said "I would want to be spoilt" she also said "Personally, if you were sending me a swap I would be secretly hoping for some bunting that was tea party themed! I would also really like craft goodies and maybe a chocolate bar too." Thanks Kathleen.... I loved these ideas and decided I would do it around a particular theme... Cherries!
Here is a pic of what I ended up putting together:


There is
A roll of red satin ribbon
A roll of white grosgrain ribbon with cherries printed on it
A selection of red buttons
A selection of green buttons
A piece of red chenille fabric
A set of 'Cherrilicious' fabric backed gift tags (from Tagged By Giggleberry)
A set of red and white bunting (from Giggleberry Creations)
and as Kathleen suggested, a chocolate bar... a Cherry ripe of course.

I don't want to say who the parcel is off to just yet in case I ruin the surprise but a little hint won't hurt right? The recipient has recently posted on her blog that she has an up and coming market stall... so maybe the red and white bunting set could help her stall stand out from the others??

I'll be sure to share pics of what arrives for me as soon as it comes.

It's Tuesday and I can't wait..... to share my Top Secret new item!

You may have read in a recent post HERE that I have been working on a few new Top Secret items that will be listed in store soon.... I thought I'd give you all a little teaser sneak peek at one of them....


"What?! That's it?!" I can hear you all saying..... sorry, I want to work out all the 'in's and out's' before I go listing crazy to make sure they work out just perfect. So you'll have to stay tuned for more updates!

It's Tuesday and I can't wait.....

I know, I know this is a day late (well maybe not depending where in the world you are lol) but I still had to play along because the thing I couldn't wait for yesterday is the same reason I didn't post this..... My internet connection!!! We are on a monthly plan with a cable connection so the speed is great but once we use up our limit the connection slows down sooooooo much! This month we used up our limit so much earlier than usual (all that you tube watching hehehehe) so we have upgraded - Yay! and it started as of midnight last night!!

Oh and the other thing I can't wait for is this gorgeous bubble dress from The Delicious Collective.

It's Tuesday and I can't wait.....

"It's Tuesday and I can't wait...." for two things this week.....

1: My daughters 'big girl' bed. It was meant to be delivered last week but somehow we were forgotten so I've been promised it's coming tomorrow - Yay! This will make our little house work a bit better as My son is ready to be moved from his bassinet to the cot - awwww my babies are growing up!
2: Merryville fabric coming in the mail so I can get making the fun playmat I found HERE

'It's Tuesday and I can't wait...'

Lou over at Buttons by Lou Lou blog has started a new Tuesday blog theme - 'It's Tuesday and I can't wait...'
I couldn't believe it when I read it as yes it's obviously Tuesday and I am (very impatiently) waiting for something... So of course I had to join in!!

Early last week I was commissioned to do a custom order for three matching bunting banners. Two plain ones and one with the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY on it. They are for a first birthday party and I was asked to use fabric that match this party invite.



I found the perfect fabrics to match. From my local fabric shop I bought mint green with polka dot fabric and from Fresh Fabric on Etsy I bought this Darla Rose in Aqua fabric by Tanya Whelan.....


this is what I am waiting for. I'm expecting it to arrive in the mail any day so I can get this fun order all finished and sent off ready for the Birthday girl!
